Günther Groissböck: Welcome to CSAM!

21 Apr 2026

Centre Stage Artist Management announces the signing of Austrian bass Günther Groissböck for general management.

One of the leading basses today, Groissböck is a commanding presence on the world’s leading stages – from the Vienna State Opera and Metropolitan Opera to Teatro alla Scala, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden and the Bayreuth Festival. Renowned for the authority of his Wagner and Strauss interpretations, he combines vocal power with rare intelligence and textual precision.

The 2025/26 season marks a new chapter: appearances at Opernhaus Zürich, Opéra national de Paris and La Scala, alongside a major role debut as Hagen in Götterdämmerung – one of the repertoire’s most formidable bass roles. Further highlights include returns to the Vienna State Opera and a season-closing Daland at the Birgit Nilsson Festival.

Beyond the opera stage, Groissböck is an internationally acclaimed concert and Lied artist, appearing regularly at the Musikverein, Wigmore Hall and Carnegie Hall. His repertoire spans from Haydn to Shostakovich, delivered with a depth of musical insight that has become his hallmark.

With this signing, CSAM welcomes an artist at the height of his powers and entering a decisive new phase of his career.
