Audiences and critics alike have praised her \u201csoprano that shines in the upper register\u201d (Westdeutsche Zeitung), her \u201cflawlessly beautiful voice\u201d (NRZ) and her \u201ccrystal-clear coloratura\u201d (O-Ton). In the 2026\/27 season, she debuts the roles of Queen of the Night in Mozart\u2019s <strong><em>Die Zauberfl\u00f6te<\/em><\/strong> at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Adele in <strong><em>Die Fledermaus<\/em><\/strong> at Theater L\u00fcneburg, and a Flower Maiden in <strong><em>Parsifal<\/em><\/strong> at the Nationaltheater Weimar. Her concert engagements include an aria recital at Teatro San Domenico in Crema and a performance of Hans Werner Henze\u2019s <strong><em>Being Beauteous<\/em><\/strong> at the Tonhalle D\u00fcsseldorf.<\/p>\n<p>From 2024 to 2026, Charlotte Langner was a member of the opera studio at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, where her roles included Luigia in Donizetti\u2019s <strong><em>Prima la Mamma<\/em><\/strong>, Papagena in <strong><em>Die Zauberfl\u00f6te<\/em><\/strong>, the Dew Fairy in <strong><em>H\u00e4nsel und Gretel<\/em><\/strong>, Ida in <strong><em>Die Fledermaus<\/em><\/strong>, Sarahil in Gounod\u2019s <strong><em>Die K\u00f6nigin von Saba<\/em><\/strong>, the Train Bearer in <strong><em>Elektra<\/em><\/strong>, Barbarina in <strong><em>Le nozze di Figaro<\/em><\/strong> and Captain Flying Squirrel in <strong><em>Die blaue Sau<\/em><\/strong>. In summer 2026, she gave the world premiere of Thomas Blomenkamp\u2019s <strong><em>Sklaverei ertrag ich nicht<\/em><\/strong>, a song cycle composed especially for her to texts by Ingeborg Bachmann. Further concert appearances have included performances with Rolando Villaz\u00f3n at the Tonhalle D\u00fcsseldorf and at the musik westfalen festival.<\/p>\n<p>She made her debut at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in the 2023\/24 season as Uli in Lucia Ronchetti\u2019s <strong><em>Das fliegende Klassenzimmer<\/em><\/strong>. Charlotte Langner completed her bachelor\u2019s degree at the Mozarteum Salzburg, where her stage appearances included La Virt\u00f9 and Damigella in Monteverdi\u2019s <strong><em>L\u2019incoronazione di Poppea<\/em><\/strong>. She subsequently completed her master\u2019s degree with Konrad Jarnot at the Robert Schumann Hochschule D\u00fcsseldorf, where she sang the title role in Cavalli\u2019s <strong><em>La Calisto<\/em><\/strong> and is currently pursuing an advanced programme of excellence. While still at school, she studied with Juliane Banse as part of the university\u2019s programme for exceptionally gifted young musicians.<\/p>\n<p>Charlotte Langner began performing at the Tonhalle D\u00fcsseldorf as a teenager and made her stage debut as the Second Boy in Mozart\u2019s <strong><em>Die Zauberfl\u00f6te<\/em><\/strong> at Theater Krefeld\/M\u00f6nchengladbach. She also played viola in the State Youth Orchestra of North Rhine-Westphalia.<\/p>\n<p>She has attended numerous masterclasses and is a prizewinner in the junior category of the Bundeswettbewerb Gesang Berlin, a multiple national prizewinner at Jugend musiziert and a recipient of the special prize awarded by the Walter and Charlotte Hamel Foundation.
