The Polish-born artist is acclaimed not only for the beauty and brilliance of his voice, but also for the dramatic conviction and musical intelligence he brings to every role. Alongside his operatic career, he is equally celebrated as a concert and recital artist, appearing with many of the world\u2019s most distinguished orchestras and conductors.<\/p>\n<p>The defining event of Piotr Becza\u0142a\u2019s 2026\/27 season is his eagerly anticipated role debut as\u00a0<strong><em>Parsifal<\/em><\/strong>. He first appears in Kirill Serebrennikov\u2019s new production at the Vienna State Opera, followed by Fran\u00e7ois Girard\u2019s production at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, before concluding the season in the title role at the Bayreuth Festival. At the Metropolitan Opera he also returns as\u00a0Cavaradossi\u00a0in\u00a0<strong><em>Tosca<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0and joins the company\u2019s Diamond Jubilee Gala celebrating sixty years at Lincoln Center. At the Vienna State Opera he reprises the title role in\u00a0<strong><em>Andrea Ch\u00e9nier<\/em><\/strong>, appears in the annual Opern Air and gives a gala concert with Luca Salsi. Other operatic engagements include\u00a0Radam\u00e8s\u00a0in\u00a0<strong><em>Aida<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona,\u00a0Riccardo\u00a0in Verdi\u2019s\u00a0<strong><em>Un ballo in maschera<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>at the Bavarian State Opera,\u00a0Rodolfo\u00a0in<strong>\u00a0<em>Luisa Miller<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>at Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, and the title role in\u00a0<strong><em>Werther<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0at the Opera de Las Palmas.<\/p>\n<p>His concert engagements include a recital at the Op\u00e9ra National de Paris, symphonic performances with the Staatskapelle Berlin under Christian Thielemann, gala concerts in Thessaloniki and Zagreb, as well as appearances at the traditional\u00a0<strong><em>Christmas in Vienna<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>concerts at the Wiener Konzerthaus.<\/p>\n<p>Following acclaimed role debuts across both the Italian and German repertoire, Piotr Becza\u0142a has established himself as one of the foremost lyric-dramatic tenors of his generation. Having launched his international career there as an ensemble member, he continues to return regularly for major productions and concerts. Recent highlights include his return as\u00a0Prince Sou-Chong\u00a0in\u00a0<strong><em>Das Land des L\u00e4chelns<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>and recital appearances with Helmut Deutsch and Sarah Tysman. He also performs regularly at the Bavarian State Opera, Gran Teatre del Liceu Barcelona, Teatro Real Madrid, Arena di Verona, Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden and the Salzburg Festival.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to his operatic career, Piotr Becza\u0142a is one of today\u2019s most distinguished concert and recital singers. He has appeared in recital at the Wiener Konzerthaus, the Musikverein Wien, the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, the Philharmonie Luxembourg and Carnegie Hall in New York. His concert appearances have also taken him to Baden-Baden, Amsterdam, Budapest, Warsaw, Prague, Milan, San Sebasti\u00e1n, Muscat and many other international music centres.<\/p>\n<p>Piotr Becza\u0142a records exclusively for the Grammy Award-winning label Pentatone. The 2026\/27 season marks the release of his long-awaited album of German arias, adding to an acclaimed discography spanning Verdi, Puccini, Dvo\u0159\u00e1k, Gounod and many other composers. His recordings have been released by Pentatone, Deutsche Grammophon and Orfeo, earning widespread critical acclaim.<\/p>\n<p>In 2014 Piotr Becza\u0142a was named\u00a0Singer of the Year\u00a0at the ECHO Klassik Awards, followed by the same honour at the Opus Klassik Awards in 2021.
