Piotr Becza\u0142a as Carmen\u2019s troubled lover Don\u202fJos\u00e9 shares the stage with young mezzo-soprano Aigul Akhmetshina as Carmen, with Angel Blue as Mica\u00ebla, and with bass-baritone Kyle Ketelsen as Escamillo. Daniele Rustioni conducts Bizet\u2019s heart-pounding score and acclaimed English director Carrie Cracknell makes her Met debut. Piotr Becza\u0142a’s performances are on December 31 and on January 3, 5, 9, 12, 16, 19, 23 and on 27, 2024.<\/p>\n
