Mezzo-soprano Emily D’Angelo takes part in the world premiere of If I do not return, a concert performance conceived by pianist and composer Hania Rani together with singers Emily D’Angelo and Álfheiður Erla Guðmundsdóttir at Theater Basel. The performance combines Hania Rani’s contemporary musical language with texts from Renaissance songs by John Dowland. D’Angelo appears as Future Hari, alongside Álfheiður Erla Guðmundsdóttir as Past Hari. The production also features the Neophyt Vocal Ensemble and the Kammerorchester Basel. The premiere takes place on October 11, 2026, at the Elisabethenkirche in Basel, followed by performances on October 13, 15, 17, and 19.
