Tenor Omar Mancini makes his house debut at Semperoper Dresden. He takes on the role of Wagner in Eva-Maria Höckmayr’s new production of Boito’s Mefistofele at Semperoper Dresden. The opera under the baton of Andrea Battistoni premieres on September 28. Further performances can be experienced on October 1, 6, 10, 13, 18 und 24.

Tenor Omar Mancini performs Beethoven’s 9th symphony in Turin together with the orchestra and choir of Teatro Regio Torino under the auspice of the international music festival MITO Settembre Musica. Mancini is joined on stage by soprano Salome Jicia, mezzo-soprano Teresa Iervolino and bass Adolfo Corrado. The concert is lead under the baton of conductor Michele Spotti and takes place on September 6 at Piazza San Carlo in Turin.

Formidable tenor Omar Mancini is one of the promising young voices of his generation. The tenor made his opera debut as the solo tenor in the Petite Messe Solennelle by Rossini as part of the 150th anniversary of the composer’s death in 2018. He was awarded in numerous competitions (including winning first prize in the Antonio Falconio Summer Edition & Salvatore Licitra opera singing competition) and is a current ensemble member at Grand Théâtre de Genève.
