
Sylvia D’Eramo in Silent Night: Role and House Debut at Houston Grand Opera

Soprano Sylvia D’Eramo makes her Houston Grand Opera debut, taking on the role of Anna Sørensen in Kevin Puts’s Pulitzer Prize-winning opera Silent Night. The production is directed by James Robinson and conducted by Kensho Watanabe, bringing to the stage the powerful and deeply human story of the Christmas Truce of 1914. D’Eramo appears alongside Miles Mykkanen as Nikolaus Sprink (Michael McDermott on February 4), with Ryan McKinny, Iurii Samoilov, and Thomas Glass also featured in the cast. Performances take place from January 23 to February 8, 2026, at the Brown Theater in Houston.
