Soprano Emily Pogorelc makes her role and company debut as Leïla in Bizet’s Les pêcheurs de perles with Washington Concert Opera in a one-night-only concert performance. Led by Artistic Director and conductor Antony Walker, the performance also features Will Liverman as Zurga and Duke Kim as Nadir. With soaring arias, passionate duets, and Bizet’s famously atmospheric score, the opera explores the painful intersections of loyalty and desire.
