Soprano Olga Peretyatko sings a concert at the Pierre Boulez Saal on September 12, 2020. In four programs this season, acclaimed Russian singers present rarely heard song repertoire from their native country. The series opens with soprano Olga Peretyatko and pianist Elena Bashkirova, who perform Prokofiev’s settings of texts by Russian poet Anna Akhmatova, Shostakovich’s Seven Romances, composed in 1967 for the unusual combination of soprano voice and piano trio, and songs by Mikhail Glinka and Sergej Rachmaninoff.
