Edgardo Rocha: North American premiere of Päer’s Leonora

Tenor Edgardo Rocha performs the North American premiere of Ferdinando Päer’s Leonora at the Chicago Opera Theater. Lawrence Edelson’s production under the baton of Dame Jane Glover will be the first fully staged production in the world to use the new critical edition of the score, recently prepared by Bärenreiter. Rocha takes on the role of Florestano and is joined on stage by Vanessa Becerra in the title role.

The opera can be experienced on October 1, 4 and 6 at the Studebaker Theater, Chicago.
