Eliška Weissová and Sylvia D’Eramo: Elektra in St. Gallen

Theater St. Gallen revives Richard Strauss’s Elektra, with sopranos Eliška Weissová and Sylvia D’Eramo once again taking on the central roles of Elektra and Chrysothemis. Performances will take place on August 31 and September 7, 17, and 20, 2025. The cast also features contralto Ariana Lucas, tenor Riccardo Botta, and baritone Kristján Jóhannesson. Directed by Lisaboa Houbrechts and conducted by Modestas Pitrenas, this powerful production returns following its May 2025 premiere.
