Biography

Ariun (Ariunbaatar) Ganbaatar is one of the most promising rising baritones of his generation. Since receiving First Prize and the Grand Prix at the International Tchaikovsky Competition in 2015 and Song Prize at the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World in 2017, the 35-year-old baritone has added most of the leading baritone parts to his repertoire and performed Macbeth (Macbeth), Giorgio Germont (La traviata), Scarpia (Tosca), Escamillo (Carmen), Amonasro (Aida), Rigoletto, Renato (Un ballo in maschera), Iago (Otello) and Alfio (Cavalleria rusticana).
