Azerbaijani Baritone Elchin Azizov is a star soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, where he has sung numerous leading roles, including Escamilio (Carmen), Giorgio Germont (La Traviata), Rodrigo (Don Carlo), Renato (Un ballo in maschera), Lescaut (Manon Lescaut), Count Tomsky (The Queen of Spades), Ibn-Hakia (Iolanta), Prince Igor, Grigoriy Gryaznoy (The Tsar’s Bride). Outside of Russia, Elchin Azizov has sung at the many prestigious opera houses, including the Metropolitan Opera, Royal Opera House, Opera de Lyon, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma and the Theatre an der Wien. In 2018 Elchin Azizov was awarded the title of “People’s Artist of Azerbaijan”.
