Biography

Amin Ahangaran, praised as a “full-bodied and firm bass” with a “beautiful nocturnal colour” (Opera Libera) is “indeed one of the most charming voices of his generation” (OPERA Charm Magazine). An alumnus of the Accademia del Teatro del Maggio Musicale in Florence and former member of the International Opera Studio (IOS) in Zurich, he is currently a member of the opera troupe of Opéra de Paris.

Bass Amin Ahangaran begins his tenure as ensemble member of Opéra de Paris with performances of Gounod’s Faust in the role of Wagner. The production by Tobias Kratzer is perfomed under the musical direction of Emmanuel Villaume. The performances take place on September 26, 29 and October 2, 5, 8, 12, 15 and 18.

Amin Ahangaran: Final concert of the Salzburg Young Singers Project

The bass Amin Ahangaran takes part in this year’s Salzburg Young Singers Project which is a high-powered platform for the promotion of young singers. Accompagnied by the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg under the baton of Leo Hussain the participants of this year come together in a final concert which takes place in the House for Mozart in Salzburg on August 30th.
