Biography

Estonian soprano Mirjam Mesak is a current member of the Bayerische Staatsoper ensemble, where she has left an indelible impression in roles from Iolanta to Musetta. In September 2022, she portrayed the leading role in Axel Ranisch’s film “Orphea in Love” which premiered at the Bavarian State Opera – proving that the soprano possesses not only an “outstanding voice” (Crescendo) but is also a skilled actress. The film was subsequently released in cinemas throughout Europe.

Mirjam Mesak: Der Freischütz at the Semperoper Dresden

Soprano Mirjam Mesak takes on the role of Ännchen in Carl Maria von Weber's Der Freischütz at the Semperoper Dresden. She performs alongside Golda Schultz as Agathe and Maximilian Schmitt as Max. The production is directed by Axel Köhler and conducted by Georg Fritzsch. Performances are scheduled for February 15, 19, 21, and 28, 2025.

Emily D’Angelo, Mirjam Mesak: New Year’s concert with Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin

Mezzo-soprano Emily D’Angelo and soprano Mirjam Mesak star at the New Year’s concerts of the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin. Together with conductor Vladimir Jurowski, Rundfunkchor Berlin and fellow soloists tenor Christopher Sokolowski and bass Christof Fischesser they perform Beethoven’s 9th Symphony. The concerts take place at Konzerthaus Berlin on December 30 and 31.
