Baritone Matthias Goerne makes his opera directing debut with Richard Strauss’s Salome at the Opéra national du Capitole in Toulouse. In this new production Marie-Adeline Henry sings the title role, alongside Jérôme Boutillier as Jochanaan, Nikolai Schukoff as Herodes, and Sophie Koch as Herodias, under the baton of Frank Beermann. Performances take place on May 22, 24, 26, 29, and 31.

Siphokazi Molteno appears as Roßweiße in the LA Phil’s Die Walküre Act III, conducted by Gustavo Dudamel at Walt Disney Concert Hall. She joins a stellar cast that includes Ryan Speedo Green as Wotan, Christine Goerke as Brünnhilde and Jessica Faselt as Sieglinde, with the other Valkyries sung by Alexandria Shiner, Lindsay Ammann, Zoie Reams, Taylor Raven, and Laura Wilde among others.
