Mezzo-Soprano Gaëlle Arquez returns to the Berlin State Opera in her signature role as Carmen. Arquez is joined on stage by Ivan Gyngazov as Don José, Łukasz Goliński as Escamillo, Clara Nadeshdin as Micaëla and Maria Kokareva as Frasquita. Martin Kušej’s production of Bizet’s masterpiece is performed under the baton of Valentin Uryupin. The opera can be experienced on December 7, 10, 13, 21, 27 and January 5.
