Centre Stage Artist Management is thrilled to announce that critically acclaimed French tenor Stanislas de Barbeyrac has joined the roster for general management.

One of the most exciting and in-demand artists today, French tenor Stanislas de Barbeyrac came to international attention in 2014 when he sang his first Tamino in Die Zauberflöte at Festival d’Aix-en-Provence. A complex and compelling musician and actor, he has received critical acclaim at some of the world’s most prestigious stages, including the Opéra National de Paris, the Royal Opera House, the Vienna State Opera, the Metropolitan Opera, the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, the Dutch National Opera, the Teatro Real in Madrid, the Grand Théâtre de Genève, the San Francisco Opera, Festival d’Aix-en-Provence and Salzburg festival.

The 2024/25 season sees de Barbeyrac return to Royal Ballet and Opera as Siegmund in a new production of Die Walküre by Barrie Kosky conducted by Sir Antonio Pappano. He sings the role of Erik in Der fliegende Holländer at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía in Valencia and in concert at Norwegian National Opera, which is set for a release on Decca Classics. De Barbeyrac makes his company debut at Greek National Opera as Pylade in Iphigenie en Tauride, the role he sang to great critical acclaim at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence. On the concert stage, de Barbeyrac can be heard at Théâtre des Champs-Élysées at the Gala concert with Le Concert de la Loge and maestro Julien Chauvin. Together with maestro Yannick Nézet-Seguin and Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Barbeyrac sings Mozart’s Requiem and Great Mass in C minor at the Baden-Baden Summer Festival. To complete the season, De Barbeyrac returns to the Salzburg Festival to sing the first act of Die Walküre in concert with the Vienna Philharmonic and maestro Nézet-Séguin.

Last season de Barbeyrac made a series of highly anticipated role debuts: Jason in Cherubini’s Médée in a new production at Teatro alla Scala (marking his house debut in Milan) and at the Staatsoper Berlin; Siegmund in Die Walküre on a European tour with the Rotterdam Philharmonic and Yannick Nézet-Séguin and with the Orchestra del Teatro dell’Opera di Roma and Omer Meir Wellber. Further highlights included his return to the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence as Pylade in Iphigenie en Tauride; Don José in Carmen at Opéra de Rouen Normandie and in concert at the Théâtre de Champs-Élysées; Verdi’s Requiem with the Philharmonia Orchestra under the baton of Santtu Matias Rouvali and the title role in Pelléas et Mélisande at the George Enescu Festival.

Stanislas de Barbeyrac studied at the Conservatoire de Bordeaux with Lionel Sarazzin, who remains his vocal mentor today. He has been a prize-winner at several prestigious competitions, including the Prix du Cercle Carpeaux, Prix Lyriques de l’AROP, and Queen Elisabeth International Competition in Brussels. De Barbeyrac joined the Atelier Lyrique of the Opéra de Paris in 2008 and subsequently began his operatic career at theatres in Nice, Tours, Toulon, Strasbourg, Metz, Marseille and Avignon.
