Biography
Latvian pianist Georgijs Osokins is widely acclaimed for his rich sound and for his unique performance style. The first Baltic pianist to establish himself in the top tier of international classical artists, the Latvian-born, Berlin-based Osokins is celebrated for his performances of repertoire ranging from Bach and Scarlatti to Arvo Pärt and Pēteris Vasks, via Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Rachmaninoff and many more. Critics highlight his “impeccable technique” (France Musique), “subtlety of touch” (The Strad) and “agility and grace” (Gramophone). Osokins has performed at major venues and festivals including Elbphilharmonie, Wigmore Hall, Carnegie Hall, Pierre Boulez Saal, Salzburg Festival, Lockenhaus Festival, Gstaad Menuhin Festival, Vancouver Playhouse, Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre Hall and the Shanghai Music Festival.
