Biography

Hanna-Elisabeth Müller, possessing “a voice as if cut from crystal” (Salzburger Nachrichten) is considered in equal measure to be one of today’s foremost interpreters of lied and concert repertoire, and one of the most sought-after operatic artists. The soprano had her international breakthrough at the 2014 Salzburg Easter Festival as Zdenka in Strauss’ Arabella, co-starring with Renèe Fleming and Thomas Hampson under the baton of Christian Thielemann. For this role, she was voted “Young Artist of the Year” by Opernwelt magazine. The production was subsequently released on DVD under United Classica in partnership with C Major. Müller is a frequent guest of the world’s leading opera houses and festivals, including the Bayerische Staatsoper, the Vienna Staatsoper, the Metropolitan Opera, Dresden’s Semperoper, Teatro alla Scala, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Opernhaus Zurich, and the Salzburg Festival, among others.

Hanna-Elisabeth Müller, Patricia Nolz: Le Nozze di Figaro at the Vienna State Opera

Soprano Hanna-Elisabeth Müller and mezzo-soprano Patricia Nolz will perform as Countess Almaviva and Cherubino, respectively, in Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro at the Vienna State Opera on March 29 and April 2, 2025. They will be joined by Leonardo Neiva as Count Almaviva, Slávka Zámecniková as Susanna, and Philippe Sly as Figaro. The production is directed by Barrie Kosky, with stage design by Rufus Didwiszus, and conducted by Philippe Jordan.

They are joined on stage by Emily D’Angelo as Idamante and Hanna-Elisabeth Müller taking on the role of Elettra. David McVicar’s production of Idomeneo is conducted by Alessandro De Marchi and can be heard on February 28, March 2,6, 8 and 14, 2025.

Hanna-Elisabeth Müller: Richard Strauss concert in Baden-Baden

Soprano Hanna-Elisabeth Müller sings her celebrated interpretation of Strauss’ Vier Letzte Lieder with Philharmonia Zürich under the baton of Gianandrea Noseda in Festspielhaus Baden-Baden. The concert program also includes Richard Strauss' symphonic tone poem Don Quixote, Op. 35 and Mondscheinmusik from the opera Capriccio. The concert takes place on February 22.
