On September 25th and 26th, Joseph Calleja performs a concert performance of “La Gioconda”. A best of arias and ensembles from Amilcare Ponchielli’s opera will be presented under the musical direction of Ivan Repusic.

Joseph Calleja can be seen as Enzo. He is returning to the Deutsche Oper Berlin for these performances. At his side stands the baritone Roman Burdenko as his scheming opponent Barnaba, as well as Judit Kutasi as Laura and in the title role the soprano Irina Churilova.
