Tenor Joseph Calleja returns to Oper Frankfurt in the role of Don José in Georges Bizet’s Carmen. The production – staged by Barrie Kosky and featuring the Frankfurter Opern- und Museumsorchester – brings one of opera’s most dramatic love stories vividly to life. Calleja appears with Bianca Andrew as Carmen, Alyona Rostovskaya as Micaëla, and Erik van Heyningen as Escamillo, with Jader Bignamini conducting. Performances are scheduled for December 13, 19, 21, and 27, 2025.
