On April 3, Matthias Goerne appears as baritone soloist in Benjamin Britten’s monumental War Requiem at the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, alongside soprano Irina Lungu and tenor Bogdan Volkov. Conducted by Joana Mallwitz and performed with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the concert also features the Czech Philharmonic Choir of Brno, the Philharmonia Chor Wien, and Cantus Juvenum Karlsruhe, bringing together vast musical forces in a powerful reflection on war and reconciliation.
