Baritone Matthias Goerne joins soprano Nadja Mchantaf, alto Wiebke Lehmkuhl, and tenor Matthew Swensen for Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with the NDR Radiophilharmonie in Hannover on September 12, 2025. Principal conductor Stanislav Kochanovsky leads the concert, which marks the festive opening of the 2025/26 season. Alongside Beethoven’s choral masterpiece, the evening will feature the world premiere of Johannes X. Schachtner’s Artefakte, a special commission for the orchestra’s 75th anniversary.
