Baritone Matthias Goerne takes on the role of Wotan in Wagner’s Die Walküre at the Opéra de Monte-Carlo. This new production directed by Davide Livermore is lead under the baton of Gianluca Capuano. The cast includes Joachim Bäckström as Siegmund, Wilhelm Schwinghammer as Hunding, Libby Sokolowski as Sieglinde, Ekaterina Semenchuk as Fricka, and Nancy Weissbach as Brünnhilde. Performances take place on January 23, 27 and 29, 2026.​
