Biography

Since receiving First Prize at the Francisco Viñas Vocal Competition in Barcelona in 2015, Olga Kulchynska has quickly established herself as one of the leading lyrical sopranos of her generation. She frequently appears with the world’s leading opera houses, including the Metropolitan Opera, Opernhaus Zürich, the Bayerische Staatsoper, Opéra National de Paris, and the Gran Teatre del Liceu.

Rolando Villazón and Olga Kulchynska join the Rebuild Ukraine benefit gala under the baton of Maestra Keri-Lynn Wilson in Konzerthaus Berlin on April 19, 2024. Together with other world renowned and Ukrainian stars accompanied by the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin they will perform this benefit concert under the patronage of the President of the European Commission, Dr. Ursula von der Leyen and the Mayor of Berlin, Kai Wegner.

Piotr Beczala and Olga Kulchynska perform Bizet’s Carmen at the Royal Opera House with the premiere on April 5, 2024. Beczala as Don Jose joins on stage Aigul Akhmetshina in the title role in Damiano Michieletto's searing new production under the baton of Antonello Manacorda, while Kulchynska makes her house debut as Michaela. Soprano Olga Kulchynska and Mezzo-soprano Gaëlle Arquez sing Gioachino Rossini’s cantata Stabat Mater on February 19, 2024 as a part of Ljubljana Winter Festival. The ensemble also including the tenor Francesco Demuro and the bass Riccardo Zanellato is accompanied by the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra and the Megaron Chamber Choir and by the Italian conductor Roberto Abbado.
