One of the most compelling artists of her generation, “force of nature” (SFCV) mezzo-soprano Kate Lindsey possesses a rare combination of world class vocal artistry coupled with equally expansive acting gifts. Lindsey is a regular guest of the world’s most prestigious opera houses, including the Metropolitan Opera, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Vienna State Opera, the Salzburg Festival, Glyndebourne Opera Festival, Festival Aix-en-Provence, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, and the Bavarian State Opera.

Emily D’Angelo, Kate Lindsey: Cosi fan Tutte in the Vienna State Opera

Mezzo-sopranos Kate Lindsey and Emily D’Angelo perform a new production of Mozart’s Cosi fan Tutte at the Vienna State Opera which premieres on June 16. Lindsey in the role of Despina and D’Angelo in the role of Dorabella are also joined on stage by Federica Lombardi as Fiordiligi, Christopher Maltman as Don Alfonso, Peter Kellner as Guglielmo and Felipe Manu as Ferrando. This production celebrates Emily D'Angelo's debut at Vienna State Opera. This new production is staged by Barrie Kosky and is lead under the baton of Philippe Jordan, music director of the Vienna State Opera. Further performances can be experienced on June 19, 22, 24, 26 and 28.

Kate Lindsey: The Tempest at the Vienna State Opera

Kate Lindsey sings Miranda at the Vienna State Opera’s revival of The Tempest on May 9, 2024. The opera by Thomas Adès, who also conducts the 2015 production, is based on Shakespeare’s play. Kate Lindsey joins the cast of Adrian Eröd as Prospero, Caroline Wettergreen as Ariel and Frédéric Antoun as Caliban. The opera can also be experienced on May 12, 14 and 17, 2024.

Kate Lindsey: Concert at the Elbphilharmonie

Kate Lindsey sings Sieben Lieder (The Seven Songs) by Alma Mahler at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg on April 7 and 8, 2024. The mezzo soprano performs together with the Hamburg Philharmonic State Orchestra under the baton of Anja Bihlmaier.
