Biography

A graduate of the St. Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire, Elene Gvritishvili is currently a member of the Bolshoi Young Artist Programme. The young soprano has already successfully performed at the Salzburg Festspielhaus and Mozarteum, the Bolshoi Theatre, Philharmonic halls in Moscow and St. Petersburg and other renowned venues.

Elene Gvritishvili: St Matthew Passion in Moscow and St.Petersburg

Elene Gvritishvili performs Bach’s St Matthew Passion in St.Peterburg and Moscow in April 2024. The soprano joins MusicAeterna Choir and Orchestra under the baton of Teodor Currentzis for the concerts in St. Petersburg’s Great Hall of the Philharmonic on April 8 and in Moscow’s Zaryadye Hall on April 10 and 11, 2024. Later Gvritishvili sings the oratorio with the Questa Musica Ensemble conducted by Philipp Chizhevsky in Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow on April 24, 2024.

Elene Gvritishvili: recital in Offenbach

Elene Gvritishvili gives a recital in Offenbach on February 2, 2024. The young soprano accompanied by the pianist Alexey Pudinov performs arias and songs by Mozart, Strauss, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninow and others. The artists also perform some songs from their 2023 CD “Silent Songs”, featuring compositions by the esteemed Ukrainian composer Valentin Silvestrov.
