Olga Kulchynska, Piotr Beczala: Carmen at the Royal Opera House

Piotr Beczala and Olga Kulchynska perform Bizet’s Carmen at the Royal Opera House with the premiere on April 5, 2024. Beczala as Don Jose joins on stage Aigul Akhmetshina in the title role in Damiano Michieletto's searing new production under the baton of Antonello Manacorda, while Kulchynska makes her house debut as Michaela. Both singers can also be heard on April 8, 11, 14, 23 and May 1, 2024, while the tenor also performs on April 16, 26 and May 5.

Accompanied by the Vienna State Opera Orchestra under the musical direction of Bertrand de Billy, they perform works such as "Barcarolle" from Les Contes d'Hoffmann by Jacques Offenbach, "La fleur que tu m'avais jetée" from Carmen and "Granada" by Agustín Lara.
