Keri-Lynn Wilson: Concert tour with the Kyiv Camerata

Keri-Lynn Wilson begins her tenure as the musical director of the Kyiv Camerata with a concert tour through Ukraine. The concert program consists of works by Ukrainian composers performed by violin soloist Bohdana Pivnenko, violist Kateryna Suprun, pianist Dmytro Tavanets and Volodymyr Zubytskyi on accordion. The concerts take place on October 4 in the National Philharmonic of Ukraine in Kyiv, on October 5 in the Philharmonic named after O. Kozarenko in Kolomyia and on October 6 at the Chernivtsi Academic Regional Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater named after Olga Kobylyanska.

Edgardo Rocha: North American premiere of Päer’s Leonora

Tenor Edgardo Rocha performs the North American premiere of Ferdinando Päer’s Leonora at the Chicago Opera Theater. Lawrence Edelson’s production under the baton of Dame Jane Glover will be the first fully staged production in the world to use the new critical edition of the score, recently prepared by Bärenreiter. Rocha takes on the role of Florestano and is joined on stage by Vanessa Becerra in the title role. The opera can be experienced on October 1, 4 and 6 at the Studebaker Theater, Chicago.
