Sondra Radvanovsky stars as the mythic sorceress at the Met-premiere production of Cherubini’s rarely performed masterpiece Medea, directed by David McVicar. Joining Sondra Radvanovsky is tenor Matthew Polenzani as Medea’s Argonaut husband, Giasone; soprano Janai Brugger as her rival for his love, Glauce; bass Michele Pertusi as her father, Creonte, the King of Corinth; and mezzo-soprano Ekaterina Gubanova as Medea’s confidante, Neris. This opera production will also be part of the Met’s award-winning Live in HD series. The soprano can be seen and heard on September 27 and on October 01, 05, 08, 13, 18, 22 & 28.

On September 22, Olga Peretyatko will perform at the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples. Together with the pianist Matthias Samuil, the soprano will interpret selected works by Mozart, Rachmaninov, Puccini, Chopin, and Gershwin.

Spanish soprano Serena Sáenz returns to the Gran Theatre del Liceu in Barcelona as Norina in Don Pasquale. Performances will take place on September 22 as well as on October 3, 6 and 8. Damiano Michieletto's 2019 production will be conducted by Josep Pons, musical director of the Gran Teatre del Liceu.
