Joined by soprano Charlotte Langner, the festival:philharmonie Westfalen orchestra, and conductor Michael Zlabinger, he presents a vibrant programme celebrating the passion and spirit of Spanish music, ranging from the rich tradition of zarzuela to operatic favourites. Following the overwhelming success of his sold-out appearances in 2025, a second performance has been added for 2026, giving audiences another opportunity to experience Villazón's charismatic artistry in the unique atmosphere of the historic Wasserschloss Raesfeld.

As part of the 2026 Mozart anniversary celebrations, Rolando Villazón presents his programme "Villazón & Mozart" at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival. Joined by countertenor Maarten Engeltjes, who also serves as musical director, and the Baroque orchestra PRJCT Amsterdam, Villazón performs a selection of arias and scenes from Mozart's operas, including Idomeneo, La clemenza di Tito, Il re pastore and The Magic Flute. The concerts take place on 7 August 2026 at the Musik- und Kongresshalle Lübeck and on 9 August 2026 at the Deutsches Haus Flensburg.

On July 23, Rolando Villazón and Serena Sáenz present ¡Viva la Zarzuela!, a concert celebrating the colour and passion of Spain’s beloved zarzuela tradition. On July 24, Serena Sáenz and Gaëlle Arquez perform Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 2, “Resurrection.” On July 26, Gaëlle Arquez stars as Carmen in a semi-staged performance of Bizet’s opera with the adapted title @Carmen. The Reel Story, alongside Arturo Chacón-Cruz as Don José. On July 30, Serena Sáenz and Gaëlle Arquez join Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, once again under the direction of Alondra de la Parra. All performances take place in the Diego Hall.

Rolando Villazón appears with the Wiener Symphoniker for their annual Prater-Picknick, a free open-air concert on the Kaiserwiese in Vienna’s Prater on 1 and 2 July 2026. Conducted by Holly Hyun Choe the concerts feature soprano Ilia Staple and singer-songwriter Teya in a colourful programme spanning from opera and classical favourites to contemporary songs.
