Sylvia D'Eramo performs at the Theater St. Gallen singing the role of Gerda Wegener in Lili Elbe, a world premiere by Grammy Award-winning American composer Tobias Picker and librettist Aryeh Lev Stollman. It is based on a true story of Lili Elbe, an artist born as Einar Wegener who was married to the painter Gerda Wegener and had one of the first gender reassignment surgeries performed in the 1930s. Sylvia D'Eramo can be seen on stage on October 22 and 29 as well as November 2, 5, 11 and 17, 2023, under the musical direction of renowned conductor Modestas Pitrenas.
