American soprano Emily Pogorelc is praised by critics and audiences alike for her soaring, unique voice and captivating stage presence. At the same time in the same place: Exactly 250 years ago to the day, on 23 April 1775, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart conducted the concert premiere of Il re pastore at the Prince Archbishop's Residenztheater in Salzburg. On April 23, 2025 Rolando Villazón as Alessandro, Emily Pogorelc as Aminta and Serena Sáenz as Elisa sing a concert performance of the opera to celebrate this important anniversary at the original venue.
