Bass Günther Groissböck appears as Orest in Richard Strauss’s Elektra at the Edinburgh International Festival. He is joined by Iréne Theorin as Elektra, Vida Miknevičiūtė as Chrysothemis, and Nina Stemme as Klytämnestra. The opera in concert is conducted by Karina Canellakis, with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra performing. The performance takes place on August 23, 2026, at Usher Hall in Edinburgh.
