Soprano Hanna-Elisabeth Müller joins the Radio Filharmonisch Orkest and Groot Omroepkoor for a performance of Mahler’s monumental Symphony No. 2, “Resurrection”, under the baton of Karina Canellakis, with Florian Helgath serving as chorus director. She is joined by mezzo-soprano Okka von der Damerau. Presented as the season-closing AVROTROS Friday Concert, Mahler’s epic symphony culminates in its celebrated final movement, where the soloists and chorus unite in a powerful vision of renewal and transcendence.
