Omar Mancini

Biography

With his “distinctive” and “astonishing” voice (ResMusica), Italian tenor Omar Mancini is rapidly becoming an important young voice of his generation. In the 2026-2027 the tenor begins his tenure as an ensemble member of the Deutsche Oper Berlin where he makes important role debuts as the Duke of Mantua (Rigoletto), Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni) and Almaviva (Il barbiere di Siviglia). Furthermore, he returns to Konzert und Theater St. Gallen to perform his highly anticipated role debut as Don Ramiro in Rossini’s La Cenerentola. Mancini also appears with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano for New Year’s concerts of Beethoven Symphony no. 9 in Milan under the baton of Case Scaglione.

Recent career highlights include Mancini’s company and role debut as Tamino in Julien Duval’s new production of Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte at Opéra National de Bordeaux under the baton of Joseph Swensen. In spring 2025, he made his house and role debut as Elvino in La sonnambula at Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, appearing alongside Xabier Anduaga and Nadine Sierra.
