Tenor Piotr Beczala appears in the role of Werther in the opera of the same name by Jules Massenet at Teatr Wielki in Warsaw on October 8 and 10, 2020. Werther is an opera in four acts and five pictures by Jules Massenet, which premiered on February 16, 1892. The opera is based on the novel “The Sorrows of Young Werther” by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.
