On September 12 and 13, 2023, Rolando Villazón is scheduled to perform Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo at the Bayreuth Baroque Opera Festival, held at the Markgräfliches Opernhaus. The German premiere is a collaboration between Phormigx / Christos Tsenes and Megaron – The Athens Concert Hall, featuring new music, transcriptions, and live electronics by Panos Iliopoulos.
