Theodore Platt

Theodore Platt appears at the Eppaner Liedsommer festival on September 8, 2024, in Lanserhaus Eppan. The British-Russian baritone presents a recital accompanied by pianist Keval Shah. The program features Schumann's Tragödie Op. 64 and Liederkreis Op. 24, Ravel's Histoires naturelles, and works by Quilter, Gurney, and Warlock. On May 5 a new production of Rossini’s opera Guillaume Tell premieres in St. Gallen starring baritone Theodore Platt who makes his house and role debut as the titular character and tenor Jonah Hoskins who is debuting the role as Arnold Melchtal. Both are joined on stage by Athanasia Zöhrer in the role of Mathilde. The new production by Julien Chavaz is performed under the baton of Michael Balke. Futher performances take place on May 12, 14, 17, 26 and June 2 and 6.
