Theodore Platt



Rising British-Russian baritone Theodore Platt, celebrated for his “warm and powerful English baritone” (Music OMH) is one of opera’s most promising young voices. He was a member of the Bayerische Staatsoper’s Opera Studio for the 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons. In 2022, he was named recipient of the prestigious Borletti-Buitoni Trust (BBT) fellowship.

Theodore Platt: Recital with Keval Shah in the Wigmore Hall in London

On April 7, 2024, Theodore Platt, accompanied by the pianist Keval Shah, gives a recital entitled “Mortal wounds” in the Wigmore Hall in London. The program includes works by Francis Poulenc, Robert Schumann, William Grant Still, James Macmillan and others. On April 11, 2024, the artists will repeat the program at the Leicester International Music Festival.

Theodore Platt can be heard singing Bent Sørensen's St Matthew Passion with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra at the DR Concert House in Copenhagen, led by Ludovic Morlot. The concert takes place on March 28, 2024.

Theodore Platt: Recital in Sibelius Academy Concert Hall in Helsinki

British-Russian baritone Theodore Platt travels to Helsinki to give a recital in the Sibelius Academy Concert Hall on March 17, 2024, together with soprano Louise Alderand pianist Keval Shah who is curator of Lied recitals at Helsinki Seriös, Finland’s premier international chamber music series. The program includes songs from Italienisches Liederbuch by Hugo Wolf.
