One of the most compelling artists of her generation, mezzo-soprano Kate Lindsey is a regular guest on the world’s most celebrated stages, including the Metropolitan Opera, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Vienna State Opera, the Salzburg Festival, Glyndebourne Opera Festival, Festival Aix-en-Provence, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, and the Bavarian State Opera. 

In the 2026/27 season, Kate Lindsey returns to the Vienna State Opera as Sesto in Mozart’s La clemenza di Tito, sings Rosina in Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia and Charlotte in Massenet’s Werther, and performs the Komponist in Barrie Kosky’s new production of Richard Strauss’s Ariadne auf Naxos under Franz Welser-Möst. At the Vienna State Opera’s NEST, she reprises the title role in Maarten Seghers’ Lee Miller in Hitler’s Bathtub and appears in a chamber music concert. At Salzburg’s Mozartwoche, Lindsey appears as Despina in Bettina Geyer’s semi-staged production of Mozart’s Così fan tutte under the baton of Ivor Bolton. She then returns to the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich as Idamante in Mozart’s Idomeneo in Antú Romero Nunes’ acclaimed production.

Kate Lindsey: Lee Miller in Hitler’s Bathtub at NEST

Kate Lindsey returns to NEST, the Vienna State Opera's contemporary venue, in Lee Miller in Hitler's Bathtub, a tragic cantata by Maarten Seghers. Conceived by Jan Lauwers, who also wrote, directed and designed the production, the work explores the life and inner world of pioneering photographer and war correspondent Lee Miller through a compelling blend of history and fiction. Kate Lindsey portrays Lee Miller alongside actress Romy Louise Lauwers, with Daniel K. Kurland conducting. Performances take place on 27 & 30 September and 3 & 4 October 2026.

Kate Lindsey: Thousands of Miles recital at the Salzburg Festival

On 16 August 2026, mezzo-soprano Kate Lindsey returns to the Salzburg Festival with her acclaimed recital Thousands of Miles, together with pianist Baptiste Trotignon. The programme explores the rich musical worlds of Kurt Weill, Erich Wolfgang Korngold, Alexander Zemlinsky and Alma Mahler, tracing themes of exile, identity and belonging. Following acclaimed performances on international stages, Thousands of Miles brings together art song, cabaret and theatre music in a deeply personal programme that reflects Kate Lindsey's exceptional storytelling and expressive artistry.
