Soprano Emily Pogorelc will make her debut with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra as the soprano soloist in Messiah by George Frideric Handel on December 9, 2025, at Heinz Hall. Mezzo-soprano Patricia Nolz makes her debut in the title role of Hänsel in Engelbert Humperdinck’s beloved fairy-tale opera Hänsel und Gretel at Opéra national du Rhin next to Julietta Aleksanyan as Gretel. The staging by Pierre-Emmanuel Rousseau is lead under the musical direction of Christoph Koncz. Performances take place in Strasbourg on December 7, 9, 11, 13, 15 and 17 and in Mulhouse on January 9 and 11.

Regula Mühlemann returns to the Zürich Opera House for the festive season as Adele in Die Fledermaus. Mühlemann shares the stage with Matthias Klink as Eisenstein and Golda Schultz as Rosalinde and can be heard on December 7, 10, 12, 14, 18, 26, 28, 31 and January 2, 10, 11 and 12, 2026. Austrian director Anna Bernreitner stages this most Viennese of all operettas, musically directed by the Swiss conductor Lorenzo Viotti.
