Cameron Shahbazi

Countertenor Cameron Shahbazi performs the role of Tolomeo in Händel’s Giulio Cesare at the Glyndebourne Festival. Shahbazi is joined on stage by Aryeh Nussbaum Cohen in the title role of Giulio Cesare, Louise Alder as Cleopatra and Svetlina Stoyanova as Sesto. The production is staged by David McVicar and performed under the musical direction of Laurence Cummings. The opera can be experienced on June 23, 25, 28 and July, 2, 5, 12, 19, 24, 31 and August 3, 8, 11, 13, 16, 23.

Counter tenor Cameron Shahbazi jumps in with short notice as Tolomeo for two concerts of G.F. Händel’s Tolomeo, Re di Egitto with the Basel Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Giovanni Antonini. The concerts take place on May 25 in Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and May 29 at the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona.
