25-year-old Kosovar Tenor Granit Musliu is among the most promising young singers of his generation. He received his vocal training at the University of Pristina and the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg. He is a former member of the opera studio at the Bayerische Staatsoper and is currently a part of the ensemble for the season 24/25.

25-year-old Kosovar Tenor Granit Musliu is among the most promising young singers of his generation. He received his vocal training at the University of Pristina and the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg. He is a former member of the opera studio at the Bayerische Staatsoper and is currently a part of the ensemble for the season 24/25.
Musliu’s roles at the Bayerische Staatsoper in the 2024/25 season include: Malcolm in Macbeth, Rustighello in a new production of Lucrezia Borgia, Alfred in Die Fledermaus
Edmondo in Manon Lescaut, Beppo in Pagliacci, Gaston in La Traviata and Noble of Brabant in a new production of Lohengrin.
Musliu makes his house debut as Cassio in Otello at Semperoper Dresden and at The Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv he debuts the role of Nemorino in L’elisir D’amore.
Highlights of recent seasons at the Bayerische Staatsoper include Arturo in Lucia di Lammermoor, Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi, Harry in La Fanciulla Del West, Flavio in Norma, Ruiz in Il Trovatore and Festordner in a new production of Pique Dame, Jeppo Liverotto in Lucrezia Borgia, Adjutant in D. Tchernikov’s new production of Prokofiev’s War and Peace, Ein Offizier in Ariadne auf Naxos, First Commissioner in Dialogues des Carmelites and Leibbojar in Boris Godunov. In the spring of 2022, Musliu jumped in as Arturo in Lucia di Lammermoor under Evelino Pidò, sharing the stage with Nadine Sierra and Juan Diego Florez.
Musliu has also appeared with the Deutsche Rhein-Philharmonie in Düsseldorf and Duisburg in Mozart’s Requiem, and in Hannover in Mozart’s Mass in C minor.
Granit Musliu has received a number of awards including the Grand Prix of the Ars Kosova Music Competition, 2nd prize in the 2020 Hamburg Mozart Prize and 2nd prize in the Jorgjia Truja Competition with an invitation to a masterclass with Anna Pirozzi.
