In addition to Schubert's masterpieces for duo and trio, ennobled by magical entries by clarinet and horn, Mühlemann also sheds new light on unjustly forgotten composers such as Wagner's friend Wilhelm Baumgartner, Fauré's pupil Friedrich Niggli and the harpsichord pioneer Marguerite Roesgen-Champion from Geneva.
