Rolando Villazón directs a new production of Bellini's opera La Sonnambula for the Metropolitan Opera. While retaining the opera’s original setting in the Swiss Alps, Villazón uses its somnambulant plot to explore the emotional and psychological valleys of the mind. The production with Nadine Sierra as Amina, Xabier Anduaga as Elvino and Riccardo Frizzy conducting, can be seen on October 6, 11, 14, 18 (with a cinema broadcast), 24 and 29, 2025.
