Emily D’Angelo: Debut in Carnegie Hall

Mezzo-Soprano Emily D’Angelo sings her recital debut in the Carnegie Hall accompanied by pianist Sophia Muñoz. The program consists of a variety of songs by Alma Mahler, Béla Bartók, Jeanine Tesori and Alexander von Zemlinsky among others. The concert is an acknowledgement of each composer and the characteristics and history that they have in common. The concert takes place in the Zankel Hall, Carnegie Hall on April 20.

Siphokazi Molteno: Don Giovanni’s Inferno at the Royal Danish Opera

Siphokazi Molteno sings her debut at the Royal Danish Opera in a new opera production by the Danish composer and stage director Simon Steen-Andersen. Don Giovanni’s Inferno is a modern opera based on the final act of Mozart’s Don Giovanni and explores the aftermath. Siphokazi sings the Mezzo-soprano part and is accompanied on stage by Soprano Fanny Soyer, Baritone Cody Quattlebaum, Bass baritone Damien Pass, Tenor Fredrik Bjellsäter and bass Geoffroy Buffière. The opera is conducted by Bassem Samir Akiki and can be experienced on April 20, 25, 27 and May 2, 4 and 9.
