On August 20, 2023, soprano Olga Kulchynska sings Beethoven's legendary 9th Symphony alongside mezzosoprano Nicole Chirka, tenor Dmytro Popov and bass-baritone Vladyslav Buialskyi at the Teatr Wielki Opera Narodowa in Warsaw, before bringing the masterpiece to Berlin's Schlossgarten Schönhausen on August 24, 2023. In a gesture of solidarity with the victims of the war in Ukraine, the Metropolitan Opera and the Polish National Opera gather leading Ukrainian musicians into the Ukrainian Freedom Orchestra for a European tour. The tour will be lead by conductor Canadian-Ukrainian Keri-Lynn Wilson. The program includes Giuseppe Verdi’s Overture of La forza del destino; Ukrainian composer Yevhen Stankovych’s Concert No 2 for violin and orchestra, Ukrainian composer Myroslav Skoryks’ Melody and Beethoven’s Third Symphony “Eroica”.
