Eliška Weissová: Festival in the courtyard of the Třeboň City Hall

The festival "Tribute to Emma Destinnova" is dedicated to the memory of the famous Czech soprano Emma Destinnova. Soprano Eliška Weissová will participate in the performance which will take place on July 15, 2023 in the courtyard of the Třeboň City Hall. Alongside baritone Daniel Čapkovič the Czech soprano will perform pieces by Smetana, Verdi, Mascagni and other composers.

Amin Ahangaran: I vespri siciliani at the Royal Theater of Turin

In July 2023, the Teatro Regio in Turin will celebrate 50 years of the historic opening of the theatre building. Back in 1973 the fist opera presented on the new stage was a new production of I vespri siciliani staged by Maria Callas. On July 6, this opera will be played again in a concert version under the baton of maestro Riccardo Frizza. Bass Amin Ahangaran will take over the role of Lord of Bethune.

Cameron Shahbazi: Opus Klassik award for benefit concert Woman.Life.Freedom.

Congratulations to Cameron Shahbazi on winning the Opus Klassik Award in the "Innovative Concert of the Year" category for the Woman.Life.Freedom. benefit concert in support of human rights in Iran, which has been initiated and produced by the artist. The event took place on December 12, 2022 at the Oper Frankfurt. All the raised money went to the non-profit organization Abdorrahman Boroumand Centre, which has been campaigning for more democracy in Iran for many years and documents the human rights violations committed there. The recording of this concert is currently available as a stream on IDAGIO and Deutsche Grammophon's STAGE+.
